For all those who came to this site looking for sex, I'm sorry. You need to look up the correct definition of 'hedonist' and you will find:

hedonist

"1822, in reference to the Cyrenaic school of philosophy that deals with the ethics of pleasure, from Gk. hedonikos "pleasurable," from hedone "pleasure," related to hedys "sweet". A hedonist is properly the follower of any ethical system in which the highest good is some sort of pleasure. The Epicurian identifies this with the practice of virtue."

Pleasure is derived from infinitely more activities than naughty ones, and here, I talk about what tickles me - food, wine, history, beauty, art, adventure and luxury. And besides, "The Utalitarianista" is too much of a mouthful, and "Epicureans" have already been done to death.  

Every meal is an experience for me. I eat out at least twice a week, cook like a woman on a mission and organise my travel around my belly (I am now fatter than the picture above, but in the absence of surgery, the outdated image is staying put.) I live in Dubai and so much of what you find on the Hedonista will be regional, but I also travel far and wide, often to Sri Lanka, France and Australia. I have managed restaurants, been a sommelier, a waiter, a bottle shop attendant, written a very small wine magazine, been a wine sales rep and had my own wine website with cellar management and online sales.

All my reviews are unbiased and unpaid. I would love to figure out some way to make this blogging pleasure of mine provide an income, but presently I am unable to balance my desire of remaining unimpeachable and yet simultaneously receiving a bribe. I will not write about free dining experiences without very good reason, and I will neither tell lies or hide truths on my blog. I will run wine classes, write guest posts, freelance for other media, ghost-write a book, or even create poetry (as long as you're fond of dirty limericks). But I give freebies as I take them - please don't ask me to work for nothing.
